Castles of Munster: Castle Mahon, Limerick (1)

Obscured by ivy is a very defaced tower within the former estate belonging to the bishops of Limerick, although the castle itself most likely dates from the period after the Reformation. In the NE corner is a stair linking three unvaulted levels each having fireplaces in the west wall.
