Castle Ievers, Bruff, Limerick (1)
R5536 | taken 10 years ago, Tuesday, 30 June, 2015 | by Garry Dickinson
A detached four-bay two-storey over basement country house, built c.1830. The Ievers family were living at Castle Ievers when it was known from the mid-18th century as Tullerboy. Attached to the rear (east) elevation of the house are the apparent remains of the original late-medieval Castle Ievers of which there is no information. A subsequent appraisal has ruled that the castle is a rebuild of the time when it was demolished in the 1860s. The house was designed by and construction supervised by Charles Frederick Anderson for Robert Ievers.
